I spent a gorgeous Saturday at Tailrace fishing area on Falls Lake, at Mike Rooney's all-day plein air painting workshop. He teaches a sort of modified Cape Code school style of underpainting, and it really clicked for me. This is one of the scenes I painted, the bridge over the river.
