I did the original sketch with a magenta Sharpie - which contributed to the illustrative, rather than painterly, look. A fun technique.

    This one really works for my eye. The bench is vibrant and inviting. The way the background pulls the eye into this place, the lighting....it draws me in. Good work Marla....!!!
