I'm working on a series of paintings from photos I took at Nags Head Woods a couple years ago. We spend a week at Nags Head every summer (in NC, mid-September is still summer, believe me), and it's usually a beach thing. Then I saw a piece about Nags Head Woods on the local PBS station, and we spent a day there instead of at the beach. I did my first plein air painting there, so it was very exciting.
